Stitch stories: expressing ourselves through abstract stitch

This workshop is run by artist Becky Moore and will use her current exhibition at HEART, Lost and Found as a starting point for looking at abstract expression of ideas, thoughts and feelings.

Becky will talk about how she draws on her emotions to create abstract images in stitch, and you will have an opportunity to study her exhibition.  Then you will experiment with different shapes, lines, colours and form to express your own ideas.  You will use a selection of materials, threads, stitches and methods.

All levels of sewing experience welcome, whether you are an experienced needle-person or an absolute beginner.   The workshop is geared towards ideas and experimentation rather than sewing skills.
